I was wondering what RTR kit I should buy to convert to an EDM. I dont really want anything fancy, but I might race it. I can't find anything used, so I'm just gonna buy new RTR, then possibly upgrade with racing parts. Need some opinions, and links on where to buy, and what I need to convert to EDM. Dont want to spend alot!
Thanks in advance,
David

i owuld look into a used b3 on ebay and by a terminator kit. prolly your best bet for racing. the custom works gbx comes with everything you need to make it a roller. just add electronics.

Depending on the track that you might race at and what other cars that you would have to race against, will make a diference in what you might want to purchase. I race a stock B4 with an EDM body on it and it handles very well and is very capable of winning races, but I do not have to race against Terminators or Intimidators, just buggies.
You don't want to spend alot? Then good luck getting a Terminator, they are not very cheap. You might get lucky finding a used one on this forum or possibly ebay or somewhere else, but to buy a B3 and then buy the Terminator kit can be quite expensive. Here is a link to Kranzel's website: http://www.kranzelsrchobbies.com/
I would recommend the B4. You can turn it into an EDM by just adding the body and getting a little creative with the body mounts. Then you can do modifications to it later if you want to.

the custom works intimidator in my opinion is the best deal going if you want to get involved in dirt oval racing. by the time you buy a rc10b4 and the conversion kits and shocks you will spend more and still not have as good of a car. the intimidator comes as a complete kit in one box with all the good stuff included. the terminator is a very good car as well but your getting a conversion kit and you have to buy everything else separate. by the time you chase down everything you need to complete it you will spend twice as much.
