Team "Reggie Roadkill" set a new WDRA Distance Record in the Deer Punting competition. The new record is 47 3/4 yards, set with Richie Hammond at the helm, with navigator Reggie riding shotgun. The record was set at about 1:30 AM while traveling south on I81.
In post competiton interviews, Hammond stated "The stupid sumbich jumped right out in front of us." When we interviewed the deer, I asked, "What was going through your mind?" In which the deer responded, "Two things were going through my mind. First, my arse, second, Hammonds bumper..."
In all seriousness, I'm glad the car only suffered cosmetic damage and no one was hurt...well, except for the deer.
