i too had a great time and a big thanks to the rescue crew you guys and gals put on a great show and matt murphy is also doing a great job

also thanks goes to mike isham for the great bbq and early morning coffee , i know they needed it saturday morning because one of the guest staying with them snored all night , it was kinda funny because i kinda got the blame they wanted to know why i stayed in my tent and not in the trailer now they know why ....lol

ok now on a another note we are only 2 races in and racers still cant line up correctly or go slow enough not spin someone out on a parade lap ! and the whole battle bot racing in 1/8 late model is getting old fast ! i understand everyone wants to win and do good but come on guys , i try to race everyone clean , i dont go into the corner and slam another car in the door ! like i said its getting really old fast ! if wanted to do cart wheels and donuts and watch my car go flying threw the air i would have stuck with off road , i am committed to the series and will make all but 1 race, but if battle bot continues i will sell everything and go back to off road , when i get so upset on the drivers stand because of whats going on and pull my car off and park it i am not having fun ! ok my rant is over , i am now waiting for round 3 its going to be a long 3 weeks or so before its here but i am hoping it will be just as fun and less crash em up derby

Tommy - We will do a real down and quiet at racers haven... I was hoping it would not come to standing starts..... but It looks like it will have to, at least for the lower mains. The A-Mains do not seem to have problems lining up!

I should some important announcements coming out in the next few days!

O man I like rolling starts and the down and quite is just as bad and I to got slammed in the parade lap. we all just need to give a little room and we would be fine it's not like we have not done this before. if the car in the front can't do it send him or her to the back and let the next car be the pace car it's all about giving the car in front of you room. a foot will not hurt any one's chances. and my biggest beef is if you are been lapped please let the first place car go. this killed me in the B! your a lap or two down don't race the leader. Brooke did a great job but it would be nice for the announcer to call out the lead car more often

Well Race Nmber 2 is in the books! Props to bruce pease and matt murphy on a well run show! I think everyone had a great time and hopefully the show was sucessful enough to allow the Rescue rc dirt oval community to continue to grow..:)

Was great to see all my old friends and was cool to make new ones..Thanks to all the guys that helped MIke and I out in the pits topping off fuel making last minute adjustments etc.

Friday night....Wow Thanks to my son for performing what might be the best bbq magic i have ever seen ....He had three or four grills going all cooking at different temps with differnt things on them and it all came out great...Did we have some food or what!!.lol Everything from tri tip to saugage and it all was good eatin! Good JOb Mike!

Saturday.. After two rounds of qualifying the racing turned to the 360 sprints at Placerville speedway..A pretty good bunch of us made the race and the good times continued.. Most notably missing was the murphdog! ( yeah i know turn 4 30 ft from the fence...)

Sunday..The final round of qualifying and the main events...the racing was hotly contested in most of the main events...I know one thing the next time i watch a 1/8 Scale late model race im taking a catchers mit...:)

I think good fun was had by all...If you looked closly you might have seen Matt'S "Gorilla tires" on his slash, occasionally you saw the "FRO" dancing around the pits. Friends, Good food, Good fun, ANd racin. Does it get any better that that??

WoW! What a weekend! I know my family and I had a lot of fun this weekend. My wife took about 800 pics of the event and hopefully we can get some posted soon (its a lot to sort thru). Anyways, the track was great. Rescue is my home track and I havent seen it that good in a very long time.

The best part of the weekend had to be the Slash pace truck for the nitro mains. That was awesome. That thing needs an official pace truck body with a light bar on top! Watching it pace a field of 1/8 LM cars was hilarious. I know there have been issues on the starts of numerous mains, but give Matt props for trying something new to solve the issue in a way that helps everyone. Great job Matt. Hes not only racing, wrenching and running the show, but hes also paying close attention to the smallest of details to ensure everyone is treated fair and has a great time.

Thanks again to everyone involved, the weekend was a ton of fun and the whole event was a huge success imo. See you all in Bakersfield!!!

Thanks to the Bruce and the rest of the Rescue crew for making it a great weekend. A special thanks to Brooke for doing a great job of announcing.

The family and I had a great time running all the classes and having the cars work (most of the time). Next time I will use some duct tape to keep that wheel on my sprinter.

Thanks Matt for working so hard!!! I can honestly say. I have not had this much fun in Ca in a long time, an awesome program and awesome competition!!

Thanks to Rolland for all the help behind the scenes! (this guy is getting quicker every week I'm starting to get very nervous) Great job on making the 1/8 podium buddy:thumbsup:

Congrats to Phil, Sherman, and Mike Isham on your great runs. Mike has only run about 6 races and looks like he's been doin it for years. Thanks to Mike, and Rex for their above and beyond hospitality, and keeping the party goin....you guys rock:beer:

It's also been great to meet so many cool new people. That's what it's all about, and thanks Garrett and Jo Jo for helping out in the pits.

Alan and Matt,

Thank you for the help Sat. night and Sun. morning i can't thank you enough. (My car was junk.) At 11:30 Saturday night my car was a chassie and a pile of parts and had no idea what i was going to do with it and Matt and Allan come by and asked what are you doing man (me) trying to fix this evel bit#$h. They give me directions to start until they could copy there setup and give it to me. Qualified 16th with one heat left and put it in the 4th spot for the main. Thanks.

Also would like to thank everyone who came out to Rescue this is by far better than club raceing and good to see my friends from BRC come and race on some (loose dirt) now you know what the track is like and hope you liked it. There was no special efert to the track prep that is how it is every race. I know all the water on Saturday was a little slick but is was all about Sunday and the mains if it came apart you would no have liked it. Good job Bruce. And Brook has made the whole program at Rescue much better.

Hope to see you guys on our oval only days.
