I'm getting back into rc after many years away. I still have some older stuff but I don't know what will work with the newer stuff. I know that these motors need a special speed control so can anyone suggest a spec level combo that won't break the bank? Can I use my old radios? Will The pinions I have work on the newer motors? I don't want to get into a money game just wanting to play!!

If your wanting to race, visit the track your gonna race at..See what they are running in what class..and go from there. as for radios yours will still work although the new 2.4 GHZ stuff is outstanding and definitely worth the investment. Typically your gonna go up in pinion tooth count to run brushless VS brushed. how many teeth you go up will depend on where you wanna race.. Here again go to your local track...

Hope this helps!!
